How it works
How your session works
From booking to receiving your signed document, here are the main steps of your appointment with Assermentation Express.
- 01
Booking and payment
Pick an available date and time, enter your details, and pay securely online (CAD $29). You'll immediately receive a confirmation email with the next steps.
- 02
Sending your documents
Before the session, you access your secure personal space to upload up to three PDF documents. Once submitted, they're locked: no changes can be made before the meeting.
- 03
Pre-session review
The commissioner reviews your documents before the appointment to confirm they're legible and eligible for the oath. If anything is missing, we reach out before the session — not on the day itself.
- 04
The video appointment
At the scheduled time, you join a secure video meeting with the commissioner, camera and microphone on. A unique meeting link is provided for each appointment.
- 05
Identity check
You show a valid piece of ID to the camera. The commissioner confirms it matches your information before continuing.
- 06
Document confirmation and oath
The commissioner shows you the document on screen. You confirm it's the right one, then take the oath (or solemn affirmation) as to the accuracy of its contents.
- 07
Electronic signature
You sign the document electronically during the meeting, under the commissioner's supervision. The commissioner then adds their own signature, commission number, and the date of the oath.
- 08
Delivery of your final document
At the end of the session, your signed document is emailed to you and remains available at any time in your client space, along with your payment receipt.
