Theme

Family and children: declarations and consents

Family-related processes — a child's travel, custody, support, separation, common-law union — often rely on a written declaration that the receiving organization, court or institution wants signed under oath.

Each article in this theme explains when the declaration is requested, what it should contain and what it does not replace (a judgment, a notarial agreement, a court decision). When an official form exists, it must be used first.
